I’ve just recently found your blog and I’m really liking it!  Regarding the index cards, I do believe the premise of your idea is good.  There’s nothing more satisfying than “checking” off something from your to do list.  However, it seems very wasteful of paper resources.  I’ve recently gone to electronic lists.  Perhaps an adaptation of this idea electronically, so you can toss each task in the trash on the computer once it is done, is an alternative.
